Beacon Church

Our holistic approach centers on asking questions and probing for solutions.  We think light can be a tool for public good. Light can do more than just illuminate space, it can shape an environment and how a community perceives and interacts with their surroundings. Light pollution blocks our view of the night sky; the devices we carry in our pockets can change our internal circadian rhythms and hinder our ability to sleep well. At the same time, vast portions of our cities and our world are simultaneously over lit and under lit. We aim to democratize light by making innovative designs that are affordable and sustainable.

For Beacon Church in Kensington, PSA created a sculpture of 200 light bulbs. Each bulb represented a light within the community. The installation is in the shape of a cross and dips in the middle of the sanctuary where services are held.
